Bunny was created by local community members in rural Appalachian Southwest Virginia. The region is blessed with verdant mountains and pioneering people who have known how to live off the land and farm sustainably for generations. In places like these all across the country, growing your own food or buying local farm-fresh produce is often cheaper than shopping at the grocery store and also tastes different, as these foods give our bodies more of the good stuff (nutrients), and less of the bad (pesticides, additives). Supporting small producers in your region also keeps wealth in the local community, and passes down local values of self-sufficiency and stewardship to further generations. And in our plastic world where we feel lost, unsettled, and completely unnatural, producing our own things is a form of resistance and reclamation.
